Problems Associated with the Conservation Strategies for Water, Land, Natural Vegetation and Wildlife
The problems associated with the conservation strategies for water, land, natural vegetation and wildlife are described below:
i. Water
Owing to lack of resources and proper arrangements, sewerage treatment plants are not being installed, consequently, river and sea water is getting polluted. One of the reasons for the shortage of irrigation water is the loss of water in the canals. This loss occurs because canals are not cemented. Due to lack of resources, dams are not being built on the rivers, which results in the flow of lot of water into the sea every year. The old and traditional methods of irrigation are wasting water. For this, farmers must be educated and trained.
