Addition and Subtraction of Matrices

Two matrices can be added or subtracted only if their order is same.

Consider $\mathbf{A} = \left[ \begin{array}{ll}5\\ 3 \end{array} \right]$ $\mathbf{B} = \left[ \begin{array}{ll}5 & 3 \end{array} \right]$ $\mathbf{C} = \left[ \begin{array}{ll}6\\ 3 \end{array} \right]$ Here addition and subtraction of A and B is impossible because their order is not same.

However, addition and subtraction of A and C is possible as their order is same.
