Pakistan is an important country of South Asia. The total area of Pakistan is 796096 square kilometers. About 58% of the total land of Pakistan consists of mountains and plateaus, while about 42% area is covered by plains and deserts. Pakistan is a vast and spacious country stretching from the coast of the Arabian Sea near Indus river delta in the south to the lofty mountain ranges in the north. The south eastern region of Pakistan is covered by the river plains, while the western and central region consists of several mountain ranges.
